PROFILE : Ms. DEEP JAJMANN
An experienced education professional with over 27 years of experience, Deep has contributed to various organisations across the country demonstrating continued success with students, parents and young adults in various academic and non-academic engagements. In particular, she has helped students improve their academic performance by focusing on the development of customised learning models which optimize the cognitive abilities of individual learners.
Her wide-ranging counselling experience encompasses a range of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship, drug and alcohol addiction, sexual health and suicide prevention. Considering her long career spanning various organisations across the country, she has the valuable experience of interacting with people from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. This experience places her in a unique position to better understand and appreciate multiple and often differing perspectives.
Deep has also been associated with various student-focused community service projects and consequently discerns a deep insight into real life challenges faced by students and their parents. She is involved with the “Bachpan Bachao” project, an initiative of the Noble Peace prize winner, Dr. Kailash Satyarathi.
She is trained in Motivational Interviewing and Partners For Change Outcome Management System (POCOMS) by West Texas A & M University, Canyon,Texas. She is also a consulting counsellor with the National Law University, Delhi and works with students to help them transition smoothly from the environment at a school to life at a university. Previously, Deep has also worked on a KGYB government project of Bihar and contributed in the development of a new academic curriculum focusing on the “Power of Resilience”.
Deep holds a double Post Graduate Degree in Counselling Psychology and Sociology. She had the honour of passing her Post Graduate Degree in Psychology with Distinction and was ranked second in the University for her Post Graduate Degree in Sociology. She has also successfully completed the institutionalised course in Management and Personality Development.
She is a trained and certified psychologist to administer different psychometric tests for various age groups. She is also been appointed as counselling consultant with National Law University Dwarka for their First Year students to help them settle better in the initial phase of their professional course.
She has organised various life skill workshops and seminars aimed at college and high school students on topics ranging from personality development to career opportunities. Her activity-based interactive sessions combined with her attention to subjective individual learning needs makes her teaching and counselling sessions deeply enriching and profound.
